Iconic custom designer Elijah Isham is back with another striking contemporary design in the Lazar front flipper from CIVIVI. Slim and compact for daily carry, the Lazar has a slender, slicing blade with Persian style and Isham's visually appealing and functional trademark handle design. This version comes with a gray stonewashed 10Cr15CoMoV stainless steel blade, gray stainless steel liners and purple G10 handle scales. Brand new, direct from CIVIVI. Blade: Riding smooth on a caged ceramic bearing pivot the slim, flat ground 10Cr15CoMoV stainless steel blade deploys with ease fast or slow via the front flipper which disappears into the handle when open. The flat grind provides superior slicing ability, while the slender profile lends itself to piercing and fine work. A subtle choil is integrated into the blade for added control and easier sharpening of the full edge. Blasted and tumbled, the gray stonewashed finish is low-profile and hides wear from use. Handle: Stainless steel liners supporting textured G10 scales form the sweeping handle with deep chamfers for comfort. The handle design is ergonomic and secure, delivering a svelte package for carry, being under 1 1/8 inches wide and just over 2.5 ounces. A stainless steel liner lock is smooth, solid, and easy to operate for safe use, while a partial back spacer completes the semi-open construction. Carries via a reversible, tip-up, stainless steel deep carry clip. 10Cr15CoMoV Stainless Steel: Chinese equivalent of Japanese VG10. 10Cr15CoMoV is a high carbon stainless steel with good hardening response (+60 HRC), edge retention and corrosion resistance. Works well with a high polish and thin edge for enhanced slicing performance.
